#friedchicken – Captain Lychee

Roaming around in Dubai on a sandy evening, I happen to stumble upon Pickl in JLT area and it looked pretty awesome with neon colors in the dining area and a team that is all smiles as they serve the customers.

I asked their manager for recommendation and he asked if I like to have spicy chicken or not. I told him that I am all hearts for spicy burgers so he suggested that we understand the heat levels given on the menu which were: Plain fry, feel the heat and nashville hot chicken. I was dooling at the sound of nashville hot chicken but somehow opted for feel the heat. Absolutely loved the crispy fried chicken patty sprinkled with some amazing spices. I am definitely going for nashville the next time. Their secret to these amazing burgers is the special sauce they add inside and also serve alongside the burgers.

Also tried the chicken tenders that were literally tender and juicy. Loved the portion size and the pickles that come along. I highly recommend you visit Pickl and don’t just order home because these burgers are best enjoyed at the restaurant.

I have always heard people say “That food was to die for” and realized why would you die for a food that’s really good? Therefore, this new intervention from a kind hearted foodie is that this chicken I ordered from Fresh Chicken King was to live for. I want to have this at least once a month. Their broasted chicken was spicy and crispy.

I also ordered their rice with chicken kebabs but those weren’t that good. I felt the kebab needed some strong spices other than salt. Rice were too thick as well so I won’t recommend you that one. I feel they have so much variety in the crispy fried chicken section. There’s extra crispy one and a spicier one. I tried the simple broasted chicken and I gotta say it was fabulous! totally recommended.

They have various branches around Dubai so try those as well. I ordered from the Qusais branch and I plan to visit them directly next time because what’s better than freshly fried chicken coming straight to your plate.

I am an absolute fan of succulent and crispy buttermilk fried chicken and while roaming around city walk in Dubai, I happen to find this place “Clinton street bakers” who are actually located in a less crowded kinda dark alley with decent vibes, the restaurant interior is really pleasing, gorgeous comfy chairs and candle light feels.

I instantly ordered their best seller chicken and waffle that is also on their breakfast menu, I also ordered a fried chicken salad and toddler’s meal; mac and cheese

The food arrived so quickly, first up- my toddler’s mac and cheese was amazing. They made it with precision and added extra cheese for the child. It made me so happy. My chicken and waffles were oh-so-good! the portion size was way too much for one person, I suggest you share it between two people with large appetite. What I loved most about this dish was the waffles that were extra fluffy and melt in mouth, i wish there was a buffalo sauce to accompany this dish which would have made it even more amazing.

Fried chicken salad was top notch. The fried chicken strips in there were super crispy yet not heavily battered. I enjoyed my dining experience here and I would recommend you to have the chicken and waffles here 🙂
