Is your love for Lebanese cuisine so strong that you are willing to brave deira traffic just to try out an amazing Lebanese food joint that people are always talking about. I had been hearing such good things about this restaurant for so many years that I finally decided to check it out. The two story restaurateur was full, literally crowded. There were people everywhere. But that did not affect their managing skills at all.
Our servers were very kind and efficient. We ordered hummus, zaatar manakeesh, cheese manakeesh, aryes and mixed grills. The manakeesh were dry and needed more flavors. The cheese manakeesh had a bland cheese on top that wasn’t baked well.
Mixed grills were so low in quality, it almost felt like having juvenile chicken’s wings (no kidding! Please see the picture as attached). The flavors for mixed girlls were great but I wish the quantities were fair too. Also tried their meat and chicken shawarmas; both were bland, un-seasoned and not even average.
Hummus was fine and my favorite item was aryes that were really crispy from the top and tasted really nice. Kunafe for the dessert stood out as well. It was fresh and made with attention to detail. The sugar syrup was just the right quantity.
I am in awe for the service but I did not like the quality of meals overall as they were not justified to the price I paid. I would suggest the management to work on increasing portion sizes of the menu as it will really enhance the dining experience.
